Currently Coveting | Beauty



I love a good wishlist. Despite the fact it's a wishlist and that these products remain solely in my future (hopefully), I just love having the motivation in front of me to save for what I want - and of course I lie to indulge in my favourite pastime of being an enabler to all of your lovely people. this is a currently covet list of all the beauty bits I've had my eye on for the past month or so.

Starting off with the most luxurious and in turn expensive item, the Sunday Riley LUNA Night Oil. At a whopping £85, this is definitely a Christmas gift idea as I can't see myself blowing that much on a facial oil. that being said, having ready the copious raving reviews, I do really want to try this and see if it really is worth the price. Following the skincare line, I've been wanting to try a good charcoal mask for a while now and this Origins Clear Improvement Clay Mask just keeps cropping up, it's not too pricey either for a mask so this may be my next skincare purchase. The same can be said for the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream - a cult classic that needs no explanation.

Moving on to base products and a foundation that everyone and their dog has mentioned since it was released, the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I almost bought this at the weekend but the price made me flinch slightly and instead I opted to try out a Bourjois option instead (which I'm loving by the way!), that being said, I will add this to my beauty stash hopefully sooner rather than later. A concealer that I've wanted ever since I watched Sarah Ashcroft's makeup video, is the MAC Pro Longwear concealer and this is one I'd like to use to up my contour and highlight game immensely.

The final few products are ones that have received countless praise and hype and yet here I am, yet to try both of them. First is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opalwhich looks like the most beautiful highlighter ever and definitely one I need to add to my collection. they are quite pricey but considering how much you would used and the size, they look well worth the splurge. The Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade is another cult favourite and I am still torn between this of the Brow Wiz. either way, both look great and my brows definitely need them! Finally we have the Beauty Blender, something I don't need as I already own the Real Techniques version but by all accounts, the original is definitely better, though that's usually the case.

Autumn Wishlist | September



If you knew me personally, you'd know that I love the cooler, cosier months far more than the warmer  summer months and so with Autumn quickly approaching here in the UK, I've been scouring my favourite stores for some key pieces to add to my wardrobe this season. This has to be by far one of my favourite wishlists I've ever put together as I genially have been lusting after every single item, especially the Zara waistcoat and the cosiest looking Topshop jumper imaginable. Unfortunately the waistcoat is rather pricey so I think this will remain on this list for a good while, as well as this beaut Zara leather studded bag that I need in my life. 

As for the rest, I'm slightly late to the lace-up shoe bandwagon after my New Look pair sadly fell apart after only three wears - I quickly sent them back! - and this Office pair is now in the sale and has quickly found its way into my basket along with the NL loafers; I sense a studded/fringe theme here. Finally this River Island cape/jacket is an absolute must for Autumn as it just looks like the cosiest item ever and having tried it on in store a week or so ago, it cemented the fact that I must buy it soon!

August Wishlistin'

This seems like a rather confused wishlist, what with the mix of an oversized knitted cardigan, sunglasses and open-toed flats. I think this is my way of trying to dress weather appropriately while secretly wishing it was Autumn - I'm over summer now. Is anyone else feeling ready for Autumn already? It's been rather cold and gloomy lately anyway so I think this wishlist is justified. Bring back coats, boots and lots of layers! 

I'm in need of...chunky knits, suede boots, lace up details, the perfect autumn hat, oversized sunnies and statement necklaces.

Neutral Tones | Wednesday Wishlist

For this weeks wishlist it's a rather neutral one as these seem to be the colours I'm drawn to at the moment over my usual choice of black. Neutrals are great all year round but especially during the current months and they add a little bit of colour to your outfit without having to go all-out bright. This wishlist is rather accessories/shoe heavy as I've not really been feeling many clothes recently and instead have been looking towards shoes to fill that shopping void.

New Look is definitely my favourite place to buy shoes and they currently have a really nice selection of flats, including my beloved pointed loafers now in silver - these are a must buy for me. I also love these sandals, mainly for the colour, as they are rather relaxed and would be great to dress down any outfit. 

Moving onto the few clothing items I am liking and first up is these cross over type tops and this khaki version from River Island is my favourite, I really like the drop hem and the linen material. White jeans are another piece I've wanted to add to my wardrobe for some time now but finding the perfect pair is proving difficult, these from H&M come pretty close though.

Wishlist | Birthday Edition


In just over a week I'm going to be turning the grand old age of 22 and as my main birthday present from my parents I'm actually going to see Idina Menzel live. I'm so excited as I loved her music even before she become widely known for her Frozen performance of 'Let It Go' - I'm clearly an old school fan. Anyway, despite that being my present I obviously have  huge list of things I'd love to receive but I thought I'd put this together in case any of you have a birthday in June also and are wanting a little bit of gift inspiration. 

The main things I have my eye on are this beaut River Island suede biker jacket, which would make the perfect spring/summer lightweight jacket - the cut and details are just fab - and the new Nike Huarache's in Pearl White. I've been coveting a pair of these for ages but none of the colour combinations really stood out to me until these appeared on my instagram timeline last week. The only drawback is that they are stark white so not the best in UK weather!

A controversial one is Kim Kardashian's book release, Selfish, which is essential an entire book dedicated to her selfies but I think it would make a great addition to my ever-growing book shelf. Then there's a lipstick I've had my eye on for some time and it's the Tom Ford Matte Lipstick in First Time that comes with beautiful packaging and an eye-watering price tag. 

The final few bits are this Marc by Marc Jacobs iPhone 6 case, a pink fringed bag from Zara and gem drop earrings from Topshop and a Cosmopolitan subscription as I've found myself picking up this magazine for a good few months now.

Zara Wishlist


I'm currently on a spending ban after buying slightly too much already this month but I can still window shop right? I'm been loving all of the new pieces Zara has in at the moment so I thought I'd dedicate an entire wish list post to those lust-worthy items.

Zara always kills it in the bag department and this season seems to be no exception. They have the most simplistic clutches in at the moment that would just add a hint of colour or a chic accessory to any outfit and these two are definitely the ones I've got my eye on at the moment. they also do the turquoise one in orange/red, which I love too. There's also this Chloe-esque bag that I spied a few weeks ago and although it isn't the largest of bags for day-to-day, some days you just really don't feel like carrying much and this would be perfect.

As for the clothes, I love a good striped shirt and this asymmetric version is a beaut and would look great paired with black jeans, a leather jacket and the silver slip-ons. Outfit planning always begins with a wish list! I also love the quirky tops Zara does and these are definitely two of my favourites, the grey-marl is great and they are the perfect throw-on-and-go style.

Spring Wishlist


As everyone keeps mentioning, Spring is on its way and taking at glance at my wardrobe it dawns on me that it mainly consists of black, grey or the occasional white t-shirt. Not exactly spring/summer appropriate eh? It also contains copious amounts of jumpers and coats, none of which will help me very much in this somewhat warmer weather we seem to be experiencing here in the UK. 

I've been browsing online for a good week now and have picked out some of the key pieces that I think need to be added to my wardrobe in the not too distant future including a rather lightweight coat alternative in the form of this H&M sleeveless trench - I can envision this worn with a blue and white stripes top and blue jeans. Very spring-like. I've also been looking at dresses and jumpsuits and have picked out these two, both from New Look, as great options for both spring and summer. The jumpsuit I've had my eye on for some time now and the dress just reminds me of a less eye-wateringly expensive version of some Lavish Alice pieces I want.

Suede It | SS15 Trend


Fashion has a real funny way of moving towards the future while still looking back to the past at the same time. Runways and LFW brought forward the 70s trend into the 21st century with Gucci and Saint Laurent being some of the stand-outs but while we all like to add a bit of quirkiness to our style now and again, that doesn’t mean you want to look like a 70s flashback. Bring hints of the 70s to your look instead with the fabric of the season: suede.

With SS15 comes the new leather. Hang up your stiff, shiny and bulky jackets in exchange for the new (or old) softness of suede. Brown of course is the go-to with this trend up grey and black are also solid contenders for a less ‘hippy’ look.

Now I am a creature of comfort and habit so I'll be sticking with outwear to embrace this trend and both of these jackets are to die for. For those on a budget, this fringed H&M option is perfect to bring in that festival 70s element to your outfit and for those long-term lusters like myself, this Warehouse beauty is perfect thrown over an oversized knit or worn with a basic tee. 

A great way to work the suede trend without have to really invest into it is to opt for a bag instead. Tan, grey or black, any will work to inject a bit of this trend into your look without going full-on country girl - or pair a suede bag and mini skirt with an oversized knit or denim shirt for an effortless look.

Wishlist | Lavish Alice, Topshop & ASOS


So this wish list pretty much encompasses only 10% of my extensive wish list currently, it's a problem I know. Now the pieces I desperate to add to my wardrobe come from Lavish Alice and their amazing new in section. I love the tailored pieces they have, especially the ever popular capes and this amazing sleeveless trench, isn't it fabulous? 

I also seem to have a thing for cut out shoes at the moment and these pairs will both be great for the upcoming months. I have been wanting a pair of tan boots for ages so this ASOS pair seem like they would be perfect and hopefully comfortable, while the Topshop shoes would look great with jeans or a dress. I realise there is a scarf in this wish list and though Spring is on its way, I'm always lusting after cosy scarves for those colder days and this one would make a great cape/wrap. Need.

Wednesday Wishlist #23 | Savings



I'm on a bit of a savings mission at the moment, putting any spare money I get aside in the hopes of being able to buy a few higher priced items. Now I'm not talking hundred of pounds but just a few pieces that I've been lusting after for a while but the price tag is just slightly too high for me to justify buying normally.

The most pricey item on this wishlist is by far the All Saints leather jacket and this one is going to take some serious saving for. I've wanted a leather jacket for the longest time now and these just seem the best quality and I mean just look at all that silver hardware. I need this jacket in my life. I'm also on the hunt for a new purse. I currently have the Mulberry continental wallet in blush but in all honesty, I'm just bored of it after using it for four long years. I never keep purses for that long so it's pretty good going but it's definitely time for a refresh and Vivienne Westwood is just on point with various different colours and styles.

50 Shades of Grey | Wishlist


Since the release of the 50 Shades of Grey film, which I'm sadly yet to see, it seems that everyone is hopping on the grey bandwagon and shops are definitely making the most of the rising trend. Despite my wardrobe consisting of mainly monochrome pieces, I don't actually wear grey that often but lately I've been coveting the chalky shade as a season transitional staple, especially grey and suede. I'm certain I'll be treating myself to the less pricier items on this wishlist at some point in the not so distant future.

Wednesday Wishlist #22


This is one of my favourite wishlist posts I've ever posted as I genuinely want each and every one of these pieces, especially the Topshop sweat, Missguided hat and H&M jumper. The sweat is rather pricey at £55 but I think you could dress it up with a leather skirt and loafers, or dress it down with leather trousers and converse - leather is optional of course, you could just go with a regular ol' skirt/jeans. The waistcoat I can imagine will go with so many pieces, especially striped shirts, which I'm loving at the moment. This is a New Look version but there's so many others around too if this one isn't exactly what you're looking for.

The hat and bag are exactly what I've been looking for in the sense of more structured accessories, the hat especially with the added feather detail would be a change from the floppy, over sized hat styles that I currently own. Black boots are a wardrobe staple for me and this pair are a great alternative to the chelsea boot with a slight heel and chunkier feel to them.

Wednesday Wishlist #21 | Topshop


 I have a rather on again/off again relationship with Topshop. Sometimes I go in store or online and see so many pieces that I want and other times I see nothing. Lately though I've been loving so much, so much so that I thought I'd dedicate a whole wishlist to the pieces I've been lusting after. Most of these have been found in the 'tall' section but the majority do come in standard and petite too, I just prefer to buy mine in tall if at all possible due to them fitting better.

The two pieces I have wanted for the longest time are the faux fur gilet and the duster-style trench, which both just happen to be the most expensive! Now the gilet is more of a want than a need as the colour is rather unwearable but I just can't get it out of my mind and one day, it will be mine. Same goes for the duster jacket, which would be a welcomed change from my usual monochrome wardrobe and a good alternative to the Topshop duster jacket I already own and love. 

I also added this lips clutch to my wishlist simply because who doesn't need a lips clutch in their life?!

Wednesday Wishlist #20 | Luxury Beauty

 I haven't really bought much make-up this year and I realise it's only January but I've really tried to focus on buying ore key wardrobe pieces instead. This has lead to my beauty wishlist getting bigger and bigger and despite some of these being complete unnecessary splurges, some I feel are real face essentials like the Estee LauderDouble Wear concealer and the Mac 217 brush. Both are everyday type items, unlike the luxury selections being the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette and the limited edition Chanel garden blush - aren't they both beautiful?! 

Next week's wishlist will be a drugstore wishlist/haul as I'm popping to Boots this week so stay tuned!

Wednesday Wishlist #19


I've been going slightly overboard lately with online shopping and so I've put together a wishlist of all the bits I'd love to buy (or at least find similar alternatives) before my temporary spending ban commences next month! I've seen so many of these cross-over shirts/blouses appearing on the highstreet but this Topshop version is definitely the nicest, I feel like it could be dressed up or dressed down quite easily. 

I'm also on a never-ending hunt for black boots and these Topshop beauties look like they would fill that void in my wardrobe for a while. New Look also has some similar pairs for a fraction of the price! Finally, camel is becoming my colour at the moment and what better way to inject it more into my everyday wardrobe than with a scarf like this one. I've seen camel scarves everywhere but this one just looks like it would be so soft...

2015 Wishlist | Designer Dreaming


If by the end of 2015 I have all of these items in my possession then I'll be one happy chappy. Now that is pretty doubtful though but one can dream, and save, and the dream some more!

Out of both of the bags (because I doubt I'll get both this year) I have my heart set of the black with silver hardware Givenchy Antigona, every time I see this bag in Selfridges my love for it grows more and more and one day it will be mine, I have the whole year after all so if I can save in a whole year then when can I?! I've also had my eye on these Frends headphones for well over a year now and although I don't really need them as I have a perfectly good pair of Sony headphones but they just look so luxurious and would match my new gold iPhone, if you want terrible ways to justify purchases then head my way, plenty more where that came from!

I also have my eye on these Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood bracelets as I'm always looking to expand my 'daily bracelets' collection. I tend to stick to silver on a daily basis with the occasional bit of rose gold thrown in, so my selections reflect that and the same goes for the Marc by Marc Jacobs iPad case I've found in a silver foil effect.

The Not-So-Wednesday-Wishlist, Wishlist

So this is a not-so-wednesday, Wednesday wishlist post! It completely slipped my mind to put this up sooner but rather than waste what I would consider to be a great wishlist, I thought why not, I'll just put it up on a Friday instead.

This is a collation of all the last-minute wintery things that I'd like to add to my wardrobe and hopefully I might be able to treat myself to a few of these before Christmas (or fingers crossed they appear in the sale)! I've actually been after this bag from Zara for absolutely ages now but it sells out so quickly and due to the price, I haven't been able to buy it - darn you Zara prices! I've also had my eye on the Missguided website for a while now as they have some amazing faux fur pieces that I totally need in my life - they can join the million others I already own!

Wednesday Wishlist #18 | Topshop Boutique

I've only ever been lucky enough to buy one Topshop boutique item and that was during the major Christmas sales a few years back where I picked up a coat down from £150 to £40! Other than that I can't afford the unfortunately high prices but if I could, these are what I have my eye on currently with three normal Topshop bags thrown in for good measure.

This feature gilet is such a statement piece and I think this would look great paired with a black roll neck jumper, black ripped jeans and chunky boots - I may or may not have added this to my basket just in case I'm feeling spendy. Also, in case you couldn't tell from reading my blog regularly, or from this post alone, I have a bit of a thing for faux fur at the moment and these two bags and coat are must haves for me but maybe just one of them, after all, my wardrobe is looking awfully furry these days!

Christmas Wishlist/Gift Guide 2014


This right here is one of the most spendy posts you'll probably ever see on iamemmawilde. Now obviously I'm not living in a dream world and obviously I (or anyone) can't expect to get all of these items for Christmas (I wish!) but I thought this would make a nice combination of a wishlist and a gift ideas post for anyone that you are wanting to slightly splurge on this year. Each and every one of these items would make such an amazing gift, I know I'd be happy to receive even just one of these.

The most pricey item in this edit is this 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Pashli' bag, which I've had my eye on for a while but choosing a colour/print is where it really gets difficult. This sort of bag, or any slightly higher prices bag, would make a great gift for a fashion lover or bag-aholic like myself. I'd also love to receive a pair of GHD eclipse hair straightners, as would probably many of you out there if you have a constant battle with styling your hair each day. These are, from what I've heard, really amazing straighteners and the sleeker design is an added bonus!

The lipstick, perfume and nail polishes are all obvious Christmas gift choices and for something a little bit more special, a bracelet or watch is great...

Wednesday Wishlist #17

This weeks wednesday wishlist is one of my most exciting yet, it has several pieces that I just can't get out of my head, the main one being that beautiful Topshop floral fur coat. I can just picture so many different outfits with this, I think I might have to take the plunge and just buy it soon! The other thing that is a definate buy for me are these boots from New Look. They are availabe onlien from this week and I'm eagarly awaiting them as I just know they will be gone in no time.
