Tie It Up

I've finally had chance to shoot some new outfit photos and my blogging mojo is officially back! I'm really trying to work on my blog photography and editing skills and I'm quite pleased with how my shots have come out for these upcoming outfits. I plan on uploading two outfits a week (Monday and Thursday) among my other beauty and fashion posts.

I'm currently in the process of adding some new pieces to my wardrobe and this Primark jumper is one of my favourite new additions (It also comes in grey!) - the tie up detail just makes it slightly more interesting, which I like and keeping it casual with slip ons and an oversized coat makes it perfect for the weekend.

Jumper: Primark
Sunglasses: Whistles

Black on Black

It was a complete nightmare trying to get these photos. The weather outside was beautifully sunny but it was still cold/windy hence the all-black outfit, so practically every photos came out over exposed or blurred. These were the best of a really band bunch so apologies for the rather short post, but I wanted to stick to my 'transitional dressing' this week so I thought I'd put it up anyway.

Colour Pop

These photos were a real struggle to capture. My smiles are actually a rather contrived way of trying to disguise the fact that I was getting blown away inbetween most of the shots, english weather is just not cooperative at the moment. It's also making it rather difficult to know how tho dress each day, as I often find myself leaving the house with a coat on only to be faced with glaring sunshine mid-way through the day (or visa versa)!

Burnt Orange

This is possibly one of my new favourite outfits, despite it not being very spring-like. The weather seems to not know what it wants to do lately so lightweight jackets and gilets have become my staples and I brought back my favourite shaggy faux fur version for just a few more weeks before it gets just too warm to wear it. I love these sorts of all black outfits that have one item of colour, especially when it's such an autumnal shade like this burnt orange...

Casual (Not) Weekend

You can't actually tell from my miserable face but I was feeling so much joy during taking these photos after finding money in the pockets of this jacket, which has probably been there for months! It's the small things. I never actually wear this jacket but I thought I'd go for a super casual outfit at the weekend and just threw this over the top of my new favourite t-shirt to keep warm.

Lace Up Flats

Bold statement alert. I think these New Look lace up flats may be my favourite shoe that I have ever owned and if you read Sunday's post, you will have already heard me raving about them. Now when I first laid eyes on these I thought they were nice but nothing special and the gold hardware and somewhat impracticality of them (they don't go with everything!) really put me off in the beginning. All doubt in my mind was however erased when they arrived on my doorstep and I tried them on. They are surprisingly comfortable and they look so expensive considering they only cost a mere £20, I applaud you New Look.

Modern

On first glance you are probably wondering why this post is titled the way it is. It's just jeans, a tee and a leather jacket. Look closer. Now I'd like to think I dress quite with the trends while adding my own touches but this slogan tee is quite literally modern, what with it's oversized drop pocket and lose fit. Although the fact River Island felt the need to point out their 'modern' design, surely means it loses the subtle design elements that really make it...

Leopard & Leather

I don't know what it is about this outfit but I feel like If I were to add a pair of huge sunglasses and a starbucks cup in my hand I'd look like the ultimate fashion clique, chic. That being said, this sort of outfit is my go-to when I can't decide what to wear. It's black and simple while still being slightly interesting with the print of the jacket. This jacket is now actually in the sale so I'd suggest you all run and buy it, it really is a fab transitional piece!

Black Leopard

When wearing all-black the key for me usually is to accesories with some-what stateemnt pieces, as well as sticking to a metal theme; in this case rose gold as my usual silver choices just dind't quite go. Don't underestimate the power of a couple of good accesories pieces to take what could be quite a boring outfit into something a tad more interesting.

Camel & Faux Fur

I was feeling rather unmotivated at the weekend after a long week at work so the idea of going outside and posing for outfit photos while dog walkers and cars passed by staring was not exactly top of my list! The result was four semi-okay photos along with a forced smile and many awkward squinty faces...

Windswept?!

RIVER ISLAND jacket, H&M jumper, NEW LOOK shoes, WHISTLES bag, PRIMARK hat

Let me welcome you to the world’s shortest outfit post, complete with my smiling face on each photo! These were the best of a really bad bunch of images; let’s just say many involved me shivering, chasing my hat or pulling a rather unsightly face. The weather was definitely not on side this weekend!

Moving past the fact I could only use four photos, I do actually really love this outfit and it’s been one of my go-to choices if I want more of a smart/casual look. These shoes seem to be appearing a lot lately on my blog but it’s because I just love them so much, despite them starting out as the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever had the misfortune of wearing! Also, why I thought it’d be a good idea to wear a hat during high-winds is beyond me…

PU & Blue Faux Fur

It's November and I'm wearing sunglasses. There's something not quite right about this picture but I'm rocking them all the same. I actually only got these this week thanks to a £25 Whistles gift card I still had saved from last months Elle magazine. I'm not conviced that they suit me as much as I'd have liked them too but I still think they are fab!

Wednesday Wishlist #17

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

This weeks wednesday wishlist is one of my most exciting yet, it has several pieces that I just can't get out of my head, the main one being that beautiful Topshop floral fur coat. I can just picture so many different outfits with this, I think I might have to take the plunge and just buy it soon! The other thing that is a definate buy for me are these boots from New Look. They are availabe onlien from this week and I'm eagarly awaiting them as I just know they will be gone in no time.

What's on your wishlist currently?

Faux Fur, Leopard & Camel

The title of this post could be read as a very bad fashion disater but I think they all actually work together well in this outfit. I wore this for work this week and after getting past the initial funny looks from people about the fur - I swear it's as though people haven't seen hats before - I actually really love how it looks and these fur headbands really are as warm as they look. I now can't wait for winter...

Patterned Trousers & Khaki | Part Two

It's the patterned trousers again as promised! This time I'm styling them in a more casual, laid back way that could still be dressed-up for evening by changing the shoes. These F&F trousers are just the comfiest and most flattering style I've found, I just wish they came in other prints and patterns!

Wednesday Wishlist #14 | Accessories

sunglasses JEEPERS PEEPERS, loafers NEW LOOK, mittens WHISTLES, hat F&F, necklace TOPSHOP, backpack H! BY HENRY HOLLAND, bag ZARA, trainers ADIDAS, scarf DUNE

Finding the perfect accessories has been high on my list of things to buy recently so I thought this weeks wishlist should reflect that! Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few weeks you will have seen that myself and almost everyone else out there has been having a moment with faux fur, so I thought it'd be only right to include at least two items for this category - mittens (of course) and yet another collar/scarf. This one from Dune is just perfect and has hints of Charlotte Simone without the hefty price tag!

With regards to bags, I've been on the hunt for an everyday black bag for a while now that can fit in my everyday essentials - book, ipad, lunch, kitchen sink etc etc - and both of these bags, though very different, would fit that bill perfectly. Now just to decide if I go for quirky or super practical.

Wednesday Wishlist #13

jumper TOPSHOP, faux fur collar NEW LOOK, slip-ons RIVER ISLAND, t-shirt ASOS, skirt H&M, clutch WHISTLES

It seems like this weeks wishlist is a seriously print-heavy one! Leopard, jewel, snake and a Kate Moss graphic, sounds like a great mix to me. I've been wanting an Eleven Paris t-shirt for ages now and of course it has to be this Kate Moss version that I have my eye on. I think it'd look great paired with the jewel skirt from H&M as apposed to a standard white tee.

And of course what would a wishlist be without a bit of faux fur as autumn/winter is definitely the season to bring out the warmer accessories.

Autumn Lookbook

If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will have seen these outfits already over the past couple of weeks but I thought I'd put together a little lookbook of my favourite three to show in a more easy-to-view format. Let me know if this is something you like seeing alongside my regular photo posts.

Camel & Cream

So it seems I finally caved in a bought myself a camel coat. Camel seems to be cropping up everywhere at the moment with Zara and River Island being on top of the pack. I have in fact wanted a camel coat for a while but I've always struggled to find one that is the perfect length, fit and shade and this one fits all of those requirements!

Leather & Gold

You know that situation when you find an item of clothing that looks so hideously ugly on the hanger but then on, it looks like it was made for you. That's exactly how I feel with this Topshop Boutique coat. Off it looks like a huge, shapeless sack but on I feel like it gives any outfit a seriously chic quality. Yes I used the word chic, shameful.
