The sun is still sticking around despite it getting rather chilly as of late and I'm desperately willing the colder weather so I can fully commit to wear coats. That being said, I do love being able to wear sunglasses and not feel like a fool and this just so happens to be the debut of my Quay Australia 'My Girl' sunnies - you know the ones, the ones that literally everyone owns!


I've also added to my ever-expanding trainers collection with these metallic silver Nike's that are not my usual style but I love how they look with this cooled toned outfit; I'm not imagining them with an all black look too. I picked these up at a local Nike Outlet and they were a bargain, I'd definitely recommend giving outlets a go as you can get some great buys for a fraction of the price. The rest of the outfit is press casual with these slouch fitting Mom jeans, a basic white tee and my favourite neoprene coat.

August Wishlistin'

This seems like a rather confused wishlist, what with the mix of an oversized knitted cardigan, sunglasses and open-toed flats. I think this is my way of trying to dress weather appropriately while secretly wishing it was Autumn - I'm over summer now. Is anyone else feeling ready for Autumn already? It's been rather cold and gloomy lately anyway so I think this wishlist is justified. Bring back coats, boots and lots of layers! 

I'm in need of...chunky knits, suede boots, lace up details, the perfect autumn hat, oversized sunnies and statement necklaces.

QuayxShay Aviators



I never used to be a sunglasses person. I used to laugh at people wearing sunglasses on a cloudy day or even indoors but now it seems I have become that person. I adore my baroque-style Prada pair and while they are my favourites, they are very big and sometimes I maybe want to blend in more. Introducing my new Quay Australia 'Vivienne' aviator sunglasses from the 'quayxshay' collection (that's Shay Mitchell, from Pretty Little Liars), which I picked up just over a week ago and haven't worn any others since. I never thought this style would suit me, usually opting for larger, rounder shapes but I actually really like how these look, despite the Top Gun song popping into my head every time I wear them!

Quay Australia & Trying Wok Prawn Noodles?!


A rather small weekly round-up this week as I've not really done all that much. That being said, I have tried a new food, discovered a favourite TV show and added to my ever-growing sunglasses collection.

I finally managed to get my hands on a pair of the Quay Australia QuayxShay collection sunglasses after being too impatient to wait the month-long delivery time. My mum and dad actually picked me up this aviator pair while in London - note, Topshop Oxford St have the best sunglasses selection ever - and though it's a style I've never really tried, I do actually love them. Especially because they are matte black! I've now got my eye on a few more pairs, which all seem to be sold out currently, but fingers crossed I can grow my collection. 

Something I don't normally write about in my blog is good but for this week's round-up I just had to mention Busaba Eathai, a Thai orientated restaurant that I believe is predominantly in London. Now I'm not exactly the biggest foodie when it comes to trying new things but I decided to opt for something on the menu that would push me out of my food comfort zone. I chose Pad Kweito, a wok noodle dish with chicken, mushrooms, green beans and the biggest surprise for me, prawns! I've always been so put off trying prawns but I took the plunge, aye them and I have to say, it was probably one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time. If highly recommend Busaba Eathai if you are in the area - I went to the one off Tottenham Court rd. 

I love the Naomi Campbell-created show, The Face, so when I discovered the Australian version, you can only but imagine my delight! I have since watched the first few episodes and as expected, I'm hooked. Naomi Campbell has a certain bluntness to her that just makes you both fear and respect her and watching her outbursts, arguments and harsh criticism of the models is something I've thoroughly enjoyed this week.
