My Perfume Collection | Video

As I mention in the video, I do have a rather large collection of perfumes and if I'm honest, it's not at all necessary to have this many. I do however love collecting them as I like to smell different each day so that has grown into quite an extensive array. I hope you enjoy this video and can excuse my terrible scent descriptions!

February Beauty Favourites '15

Happy March everyone! I'm pretty glad to see February go as it always seems like such a filler month for me. That being said, it did fly by and we're now already on March, where has this year gone already!

This month I've sat down with an accumulation of January/February favourites (I explain in the video my filming schedule) and I have honestly loved using each and every one of these products. I hope you enjoy the video and don't forget to let me know what your beauty favourites have been this month!

Prada Candy Florale

If someone were to ask me a few weeks ago what my dream perfume to own would be it would definitely be from the Prada Candy range. I have just always wanted one of the fragrances but for one reason or another, it just wasn't meant to be. Until now. I took advantage of the slightly lower prices in Sephora to finally make this mine and in the end I opted for the Florale version.

The Fragrance Line-up

I like to think that I have a very specific taste when it comes to perfumes. My mum tells me that they all have the same scent but for me, I like what I like, despite some being similar to others. I would say my ideal fragrance would be a mix of musky, floral and often quite strong. I do have quite an extensive collection, I'm talking over 25 perfumes in total, but of those, I do tend to reach for a select few each day in rotation. I've somehow managed to narrow it down to five. FIVE. That's quite impressive if I do say so myself, but these five all offer something different, while still being quite similar. Here's my current fragrance line-up...

Daisy Eau So Fresh, Marc Jacobs - Let's start with the lightest and probably most summer-appropriate scent I own. If you have ever tried (and enjoyed) parma violets before then this will be right up your street. This is deliciousness in a bottle from the outside to the inside, it screams spring/summer, despite it being very wearable in the autumn/winter months too. This is a real pick-me-up, floral fragrance.

Bombshell, Victoria's Secret - This is a mixed bag of fruity and floral notes, so it's a very fun, everyday scent. I often reach for this one when I'm not sure what scent to wear as it's not too overpowering and is a very easy-to-wear scent. I find that this isn't the most long-lasting of the fragrances I own unfortunately, but it does stick around for a good few hours so it makes the cut.

Kim Kardashian - I love this one. It's one of the strongest perfumes I own and has a bit of everything in it. Floral, fruity, vanilla and musk - it sounds like a real overload of notes but for some reason it just works. I don't think this one is going to be to everyones taste but this is definitely one the the five that I reach for most often. Well done Kim K, well done indeed.

Stella, Stella McCartney - This is the scent I reach for if I want to feel sophisticated without wearing a super overpowering scent. Stella is definitely a fresh floral scent than does have hints of amber that add those darker, more sultry aspects. This is a perfume that I coveted for so long and nope that I own it I'll never look back. It's a firm staple that's great for day and night.

Boyfriend - I'll admit, with this one I bought it solely because one of my favourite actresses, Kate Walsh, made it - plus points if you know who she is! I wanted it so badly that I got a friend to ship it over to me from the US (it's not readily available in the UK) and luckily I wasn't disappointed at all when I first smelt it. It's unlike anything I've ever smelt before with woody notes throughout and a slight floral scent coming through. This one I find really difficult to describe as it is so unusual, just give it a sniff if you ever get the chance!

Now I could probably have included a few more fragrances in this line-up but I think five is a nice number so let's leave it at that. I'd love to hear which fragrances would make the cut with you...

Marc Jacobs Daisy 'Eau So Fresh'

Marc Jacobs 'Daisy Eau So Fresh' - £ (75ml)

To say I have a large collection of perfume would be an understatement, but since I can remember there has always been a rather large Marc Jacobs sized gap in my collection. Cue, Daisy Eau So Fresh.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh is described as the 'spirited new version of the original Daisy' with notes of wild rose, apple blossom, raspberry, pear, musk and cedarwood. This is a very fresh fruity scent but to me, it smells a lot like parma violet sweets which I love and so it was almost inevitable that I would like it. The lasting power is good and the scent does develop to a slightly mushy scent after a while so perfect for anyone who isn't into super girly, sweet perfumes. As for the bottle, it has the signature MJ floral lid in pastel pinks, yellows and white along with the large glass bottle; beautiful!

Have you ever tried Daisy Eau So Fresh or any other Marc Jacobs perfumes?

perfume | taylor swift 'wonderstruck'

Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' - £19 (100ml)

I totally don't have enough perfumes already and I can totally justify buying yet another. Totally. Not. I have an excessive collection of perfumes and an equally excessive list of perfumes I still want but I can now tick one of those of that mile long list.

While browsing Debenhams on Saturday I spotted the perfume sale section and then a full, 100ml bottle of Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck for a mere £19 reduced from £40! It would have been rude not to buy it and so that's exactly what I did.

Wonderstruck is quite a different scent to others that I own, it has hints of apple blossom, raspberry, vanilla and musk, so quite a unique mix but I love it, especially for a celebrity perfume which usually tend to be a bit of a let down for me. A huge selling point for me with this perfume was the bottle; it's a metallic purple and gold bottle with three gold charms, so not very handbag friendly, but a lovely one for displaying. I'm a sucker for a pretty bottle.

beauty | kim dardashian eau de parfum

Kim Kardashian Eau de Parfum - Perfume Shop (£39.50)

Wow, I'm definitely on a roll with the perfume posts lately; it seems I've acquired quite a few new scents over the past few weeks and I really love sharing my thoughts on them so hence the sudden perfume influx on my blog (here and here)! Sorry if you aren't a perfume fan...

I have been wanting to get Kim Kardashian's fragrance for absolutely ages now as I'm a massive fan of  the Kardashians, especially Kim (and Kourtney so hopefully she'll bring out a fragrance too)! I finally bought this a few weeks ago after seeing the 100ml bottle on offer for £24 from the Perfume Shop, such a bargain, too good not to buy. I think the only way I could describe the smell of this scent would be to use the word, unusual. It's very different to all of the other scents I own and I think that's maybe why I like it so much; it's a super strong, almost spicy smelling scent.

It is described as an 'oriental floral', having notes of jasmine, orange blossom, gardenia, vanilla, musk an sandalwood. A very unusual mix if you ask me, but it totally works, although this is definitely not a scent for everyone so I'd suggest trying it out a couple of times first if you're considering buying it.

Have you tried this fragrance, if so, are you a fan of the smell?

beauty | benefit eau de toilette 'see & be seen sasha'

Benefit Crescent Row Eau de Toilette 'See & Be Seen Sasha - £29.50

Let me start out by saying that my want for this perfume stemmed mainly from the packaging, I mean isn't it just so cute! I love the cocktail shaker-style bottle as well as the 'Crescent Row' boxes that each of the Benefit perfumes come in. I do also of course like the smell which is surprising to me as it's quite different to my usual scents and I would have thought I would have much favoured the ever-popular 'So Hooked on Carmella' (I do like this one too though) but no, this one really stood out to me and I was lucky enough to be gifted this on my birthday!

See & Be Seen Sasha is a very wearable and everyday floral scent with notes of pink freesia, jasmine, musk and vanilla. I can't get enough of this perfume, I just wish it came in a larger size as I'm afraid it's going to run out so quickly.

Have you tried See & Be Seen Sasha or any other Benefit perfumes?

beauty | stella mccartney eau de parfum

Perfume is one part of my everyday routine that never gets tiresome. I love choosing which perfume will represent my mood for the day rather than which will represent the weather. If it's sunny outside, I seem to always be drawn to the darker, more wintery scents; completely logical I know! As my perfume collection grows, there has been one scent I've wanted to own for absolutely ages now and so when I opened up a full size bottle of Stella by Stella McCartney on my birthday last week I was ecstatic to say the least.

I feel like Stella could be a perfect year round perfume as long as you aren't afraid of slightly stronger scents. It is described as a floral scent that combines rose and amber notes with hints of wood, musk and mandarin orange. I adore this scent so much, I'm not quite sure how I managed until now without it.

Have you tried Stella by Stella McCartney? What are your thoughts?
