A Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat

Despite wearing lipstick on almost a daily basis, there are some days when I just don’t feel like wearing anything on my lips – mostly when I’m having a lazy, no-makeup kind of day or if I know I’m about to delve into a hefty burger for lunch and don’t want to have to worry about my lipstick smearing.

Unfortunately, I’ve not been blessed with perfectly even or shaped lips and so this often leaves me feeling rather bare-faced (or lipped!). I have however found a way to cheat your way to fuller, even looking lips and it's through the combination of a lip balm and liner. Specifically, the NUXE Reve de Miel and Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk or Pink Venus – depending on your lips shade. This pairing is perfect for a simple touch of colour for everyday wear and almost creates that ever sought after ‘my lips but better’ look – plus both products are matte so it follows the natural lip texture perfectly - and I personally prefer a matte lip so much more!

I've found this combination great for creating perfect lips but it also looks near identical to the much sought after Kylie Jenner lips. I believe she uses the MAC lip liner in 'Soar' but I've found Pillow Talk to be just as similar and with a touch of the CT 'Nude Kate' lipstick over the top, it's become my everyday go-to shade.

Look Fantastic Beauty Box | First Impressions

I love the idea of beauty boxes and how they can bring your attention to products that, more often than not, you wouldn't have otherwise ever tried. The Look Fantastic #LFBeautyBox 's boxes come with a guaranteed six products to try and for a mere £15, you are getting so much for so little.

So here is a little first impressions video on the contents of the March Beauty Box and below are a two mini reviews having tried some of the products following this video. It's available to buy here and the contents of this months box are worth a whopping £70, they are real good'uns!

Mini Reviews:

Wet Brush Mini | This little yellow brush is a real gem and gives my beloved Tangle Teezer's a run for their money in the detangling stakes. I've found this glides through my hair easily after washing and there's none of that nasty tugging you would get from normal hair brushes. My hair is thick and knotty and it really does the job.

Nude Stix Magnetic Eye Color in Gilt | This was one of the products I was most excited to try after it glided on so well during my first impressions. This works great as a subtle, everyday all-over shade and it lasts a really long time on the lids. I'm not sure it's worth the hefty price tag though as there are some similar drugstore alternatives but it's definitely a great product if you want to splurge and the sample in the box is actual a full sized product which is great!

Have you tried the #LFBeautyBox yet? What were your thoughts?

Worth the Hype?

There are several products out there that cause quite a stir in the beauty blogging community but I’m always looking to ask the question: are they worth this hype? I’d say I’m quite a skeptical person, especially regarding newly releases products as they often get a lot of press for simply being new, rather than for being great. So today I’ve picked out a few of these products to answer the question (in my opinion) if they are really worth it or not.
