Leather & Stripes

After being on the hunt for the perfect leather-look skirt, I finally found this one in the Warehouse sale a couple of weeks ago. I have never, yes you read that correctly, never shopped in Warehouse before this rare occasion and if I hadn't have been shopping with a friend, I doubt I ever would have. I think I had this weird preconception that it was much more of an old-fashioned store than it actually is, only to be struck by the latest 'trends' as soon as I stepped into the store! I will never judge a store without having actually visited it ever again...

ZARA coat & bag, TOPSHOP tee (similar) & necklace, WAREHOUSE skirt, NEW LOOK shoes, PRIMARK belt

So yes, this is the perfect leather-look skirt for me. It's the perfect balance between being too short and too long and the high-waisted fit is great! I was initially going to go for the all-black 'high school drama club' type look with a turtle neck and sunglasses but maybe I'll save that one for another day. I instead opted to add what I'd considered some colour with this breton striped tee that I got a few years back from Topshop and then the coat from Zara. Still keeping with the all neutral tones it seems, some things just never change.

There's something quite smart about this look but I'd definitely wear this to work or to go shopping too so it's very day-to-night. Swipe on a red lip and heels (if you aren't already ridiculously tall like I am) and you're sorted for a night out look without even having to change!

  1. I absolutely love this outfit, your fashion choices are always so spot on! I bought a leather skirt a few years ago and I love wearing it with stripes, though I never look this fashionable ;)
