25 Before 25

I turn 22 next month (exactly!) and it has me thinking a lot about where I want my life to be in a few years and what I want to have achieved, both big and small. With that being said, I like most people, have a tonne of things I'd love to do (one includes becoming a millionaire, one can dream right?) but in particular, there's some things I really want to say I've done before I reach the grand old age of 25 and I'd thought I'd let you in on these...

1. Work for a fashion magazine. During university it became obvious to me that my passion was magazine design and it is my absolute dream to work for a magazine like Elle or Harper's Bazaar as part of the art team. I've basically got three years to get enough experience and save enough money to move to London...

2. Grow my blog to the best it can be. This is more of an ongoing thing but I hope to be able to minute with my blog (and youtube channel), continuing to improve them daily.

3. Go to a concert. It may come to shock to a lot of you but I have never actually seen any music artists live. This one is slightly a cheat as I have tickets to see Idina Menzel for my birthday so this one will be ticked off pretty soon!

4. Save up & buy a Chanel bag. I have an extensive list of designer handbags that I want but in the very top spot of that list is Chanel and I vow that I will own one in the next three years!

5. Get fitter. And healthier.

6. Visit more of America. I'm a huge fan of the US and although I've only been to Florida and New York, I'd love to see more and visit more places, in particular Nashville, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York again.

7. Learn Spanish. I was one of the (un)fortunate ones at school that had to learn French and I absolutely hated it. I wanted to learn Spanish so much but I think my school languages experience put me off somewhat. Now that I'm slightly older though I definitely need to get myself in gear and learn this language.

8. Conquer my fear of heights and/or spiders. Now the spiders one is unlikely as I can't really see myself touching or holding a spider any time soon but the heights thing could definitely be taken care of...

9. Do a sky dive. This one may take some courage as I am rather terrified of heights but I feel like this would be such a rush and something I'd like to do while I'm still young!

10. Save money. I've never been good at saving. I like buying things too much and I usually end up spending all my money rather than saving for things in the long run.

11. Own a pug. This one may not happen, it will depend on my housing situation before I'm 25 but in an ideal world, I'd love to get a pug and dress it in knitted jumpers and tutu's - too far?

12. Drink more water. Random but it's something I used to do and need to get back to doing asap!

13. Learn how to contour and highlight. A silly one but one that I really need to learn asap. I want chiselled cheekbones just like the next person so now's as good a time as any to learn!

14. Get my ears pierced for the second time. Random but I really want my second lobe piercings done but once again, fear has gotten the better of me and I just haven't got round to actually doing it.

15. Watch The OC from start to finish. I'm very late to this party but I never watched the likes of One Tree Hill and The OC when I was younger but I really want to now. I've just bought seasons 1 and 2 so I'm well on the way!

16. Take more photos (with people). I take a million and one selfies and pretty product photos on a daily basis but what I don't do is take a lot of memorable photos with the people closet to me. This needs to change.

17. Worry less. I worry far too much and most of the time it really isn't necessary.

18. Learn to cook something. I have next to no cooking skills but would love to learn how to make even some of the more homely meals like a roast dinner or a lasagna. I can just about make pasta and a sandwich!

19. Run more. I'd like to be able to run a fair few miles without the fear of keeling over and never getting back up. Maybe I'll even build up to a marathon? Or maybe not...

20. Go a week without watching any TV (or YouTube). I predict that this one will be difficult but I feel like a TV-free week would be a pretty big challenge and would encourage me to do other things with my time.

21. Take on every opportunity. I need to become more open-minded to things and even if an opportunity isn't exactly what I had hoped for, I need to be open to it because it's happening for a reason right?

22. Read all the books in my collection. I have an excessive book collection considering how slow of a reader I am, but I've vowed not to buy another book (this is unlikely) until I've read all the ones I already own.

23. Learn how to use chopsticks. Random but I went to thai restaurant a while ago and I felt so silly that I couldn't use the chopsticks. It can't be that difficult can it?

24. Try yoga. I'm not the most active person ever but I'm keen to try new things and yoga is something that I've thought about doing for a while but have just never gotten round to actually doing. Maybe this year?

25. Get my 2nd Dan in Taekwondo. You may or may not know but I'm actually a black belt in Taekwondo and have been since 2008. I had to stop due to going away to university and other commitments but I definitely want to progress further and I think 3 years is plenty of time to do so.

Considering how many things I thought I wanted to do, this list was actually quite difficult to write as some of those things just aren't realistic in the three year timeframe. Maybe they will remain in my lifetime bucket list instead.

    1. I definitely agree with so many of these, especially 16,17 and 19! I'm really lost with what I'm going to do after school ends next year... I wish I'd have a clear plan but I guess you never know what's going to happen.
